Social Security There is much about Society's Security which depends on SS. If a wage erner is disabled with catastrophic illness or accident, SS provides for the people. Five million chidren are dependent on their parents SS to live. No catastrophic insurance will cover for the length of time or the amount necessary to provide for even the barrest essentials. Shawano Windmills
The Energy link on the left has information on the horrible situation we are in. Fossil Fuels are absolutely finite and we are fast running out of this commodity which is assessible. Natural gas in these United States is depleated and we are dependant on Canadian supplys which are fast being used up.
Recently Wisconsin electric asked for an increase in rates because of increased natural gas costs. They indicated they would likely have to ask for another increase soon as the price rises.
Unless local governments establish alternative energy systems, it is likly they will have blackouts and periolds of no electricity. This could mean freezing pipes in our Wisconsin Winters as furnaces are dependant on electricity as well as fossil fuels. Dairy farners need electricity to cool their milk and it is likely farmers will need windmills to ensure they have electricity. The saved fuel will possibly hold the fuel cost down as Tractors for producing our food supply need much fuel to run.
The recent move to ban wind farms is a bit reactionary and must be reconsidered with the present energy crisis. see energy
